SupplyHydroxypropyl methyl cellulose /HPMC
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a non-ionic water-soluble cellulose ether which is made from cellulose(refined cotton) a widely distributed natural polymer material.
The refined cotton treated with liquid caustic soda to produce an alkaline cellulose.Although cellulose contains many hydrophilic hydroxyl groups ,It is not soluble in water. This is because the hydroxyl group has strong hydrogen bonds ,thus forming a crystal strucure preventing water flowing into the gaps between cellulose molucules.
In the etherification stage, the hydroxyl groups of cellulose are replaced by substituents such as methyl and hydroxypropyl groups. Therefore, HPMC is water-soluble.
Products Specification
-Anti-Slip ability
Because of HPMC thickening effect, they are able to prevent the construction materials to be bonded mortar and slip phenomenon appears .
-Long Open Time
HPMC can ensure better quality and high water retention during longer working time. The longer open time, the higher adhesion and better workability
-Surface Activity
The aqueous solution of HPMC has high surface activity and can be used as a protective colloid agent, emulsion stabilizer film-forming agent and dispersant.
-Easy construction
As HPMC can extend the open time, it improves the construction efficiency and achieves very good performance.
